The end of the year is approaching fast, so we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of our favorite moments from 2024 - and there have been plenty!

Throughout the year, we welcomed new Country Managers for some of our most important markets, including Kazakhstan, India, Mexico, Brazil, and most recently, Egypt, to finetune our local focus and better serve our users.

In February, we launched inDrive Money in Mexico, providing much-needed financial services for drivers using our app. We’ve subsequently rolled it out in Colombia and we’re not stopping there!

Then in March, we celebrated International Women’s Day by announcing the winners of the 4th edition of the AuroraTech Awards, our initiative to support the growth of women in tech. Folake Owodunni took first place for her startup, Emergency Response Africa, which does amazing work to improve the accessibility of emergency medical care across Africa, starting in Nigeria.

We followed this up in April with the announcement of the Underdog Tech Award winners, with Elmira Safarova and Rarus Health taking the top spot. (Rarus Health simplifies the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases with specialized support and centralization of medical data.)

In May, our documentary Inner Drive released worldwide. It recounts our journey from a social media group protesting unfair taxi prices in the world’s coldest city, to the second-most downloaded mobility app – and those of some of the remarkable people who have joined us along the way. Inner Drive went on to win an incredible four Dolphins at the Cannes Corporate and Media TV Awards in October (our marketing team was hoping for one, so they were totally thrilled!).

In July we celebrated our first year in Miami, Florida, marking the anniversary of our entry into the US, and celebrating the 8 million miles we’d covered there in that time.

We reached a massive 5 billion deals in September – a huge milestone.

And then in November we held the second edition of the Alternativa Film Awards (along with a festival showcasing the top films and some of the social issues they highlight).

And here we are! It’s December, a new year is around the corner, and we have big plans for 2025…

Happy new year everyone!
