“Life has been tough, and at times, finding a proper meal is a struggle… When I heard about the meal distribution program from inDrive, I didn’t know what to expect. But when I arrived, I was surprised.”

Ravi Kumar lives in a small village in Mohali, India, where he recently encountered our “Meals on Wheels” initiative. Of India’s population of 1.4 billion people, some 19 million go to bed hungry each day – so we introduced a ride-to-donate program where for every second ride taken in November, we donated a fresh, nutritious meal box to someone who needed it.

Around 50,000 of our passengers took part, enabling us to donate more than 10,000 meals across various locations in India. Our equally caring driver partners helped with the distribution, along with social media influencers who volunteered in the meal distribution drive and spread the word.

“It wasn’t just about filling stomachs; it felt like they were genuinely concerned about our well-being,” says Ravi of the people he encountered. “They spoke to us, asked about our needs, and ensured no one felt left out ... I’m thankful to inDrive for their support, and I hope their example encourages others to do the same.”

But it wasn’t just inDrive - this was a vast group effort by people from across India, all of whom care and are willing to take steps to a brighter future. Thank you to our lovely drivers, passengers, and the many volunteers who helped out!
