In a 2023 interview - and in his book, Inner Drive - our CEO Arsen Tomsky mentions a story from the early days of inDrive:
A woman with asthma urgently needed medication. Emergency services would take an hour to send someone to her (much too long), and when she tried contacting a taxi service to collect it, they refused to perform deliveries. When she finally posted her request on the fledgling inDrive platform, someone responded in seconds, and soon brought her the medicine. This may have saved her life.
We’ve noticed that many drivers on our platform do much more than getting their passengers safely to their destinations or ensuring that packages get delivered. They help out in a myriad of other ways – from helping fellow drivers who’ve run out of petrol, to stepping in to getting a stranger to hospital, or not charging when they realized someone was in trouble. Even, in one case, taking over a delivery of blood to save a life. And going above and beyond to get someone the medication they urgently need? It’s a recurring theme.

So, if the world is getting you down, it can be helpful to remember how many people perform small (and sometimes not so small!) acts of kindness every day.
