For most of her life, Sandra took care of everyone else. Meet Sandra, a nurse and mother from Peru who, after the pandemic, decided it was finally time to chase something of her own. Behind the wheel, she found more than a new job. She found proof of what she was capable of. Today she is also Doña Justa, the face of inDrive in Peru.
"Behind the wheel, I'm not just driving. I'm proving to myself, my family, and other women that yes, we can."
With inDrive, I discovered that I really can do it. I went from being a mom and a nurse to showing that I am an independent woman behind the wheel.
A life built around caring for others
For many years, I was a nurse. My life has always revolved around my family: caring for them and keeping us close. But after the pandemic, I realized I needed a change. A new beginning.
A challenge I set for myself
At first, driving was a personal challenge. Could I really do it? Getting behind the wheel gave me the answer.
In the beginning I was shy, and I doubted myself. But every single trip made me a little stronger.
Independence, safety, and the freedom to choose
Behind the wheel I found independence, safety, and the freedom to choose. I'm not only driving. I'm proving to myself, to my family, and to other women that yes, we can.
What makes me proudest
Now people recognize me. But what fills me with the most pride is seeing other women start to drive too.
I don't just carry passengers. I keep moving forward, and I know that many more women will follow.
