Women Drive recently organized an internal hackathon, open to all inDrive employees, and the results were 🔥

Women Drive is a community within the company that brings together employees who want to support and expand women’s participation in technology, product development, and leadership. It includes colleagues from engineering, product, operations, analytics, and other teams across the company; anyone who wants to contribute to this mission, regardless of gender.

To build community and create more shared opportunities, Women Drive organizes initiatives, discussions, and events – the recent Hackathon by Women Drive being one of them. This was open to all company employees, with colleagues working offline in Paphos, Almaty and Cairo being joined by online participants from other locations around the world.

More than 100 people from ten countries took part, forming 26 teams that included engineers, analysts, product managers, designers, operations specialists, and others.

From concept to presentation – in just 1.5 days

The teams worked on ideas ranging from user safety solutions and social initiatives, to product concepts and AI-powered tools, and had just a day and a half to build prototypes of products, services, or internal tools. These were presented during a final pitch session and judged by a jury of leading women across inDrive.

The winning projects were a domestic violence support navigator, an AI assistant for difficult conversations, and a project developing gamification for drivers. Each winner walked away with €500, and one member of the SuperWinner team will travel to South Africa to attend the Women in Tech Global Summit!

Congratulations to the winning teams, and huge thanks to the organizers and all who stepped up to support them!
