Drivers play a small but essential role in life’s daily dramas – everything from job interviews, first dates, airport reunions, and stormy breakups, all the way through to dentist appointments and unpleasant checkups. In every scene, look closely, and there is a driver, getting the star of the show to their date with destiny (or the drill).

So it’s time to celebrate them! In Mexico, inDrive has commissioned the “Heroes of Mobility” urban art initiative, recognizing drivers who go above and beyond.

Murals painted by artists Tahnee Flor and Remix Uno show our heroes at work: There’s the driver who got a passenger to the hospital in time during a family emergency; and the mother who balances work, children and her training to become a firefighter, empowered by the flexibility of ride-hailing apps.

In 2024, 99.99% of trips with inDrive were completed without any incidents being reported (and most of these earned high ratings, too). This is a testament to the work of each of these men and women. They get people from A to B (and back again), safely – and many of them go above and beyond, with everyday kindnesses that touch the lives of their passengers. (Remember the driver who dressed up as spiderman, to make his passengers laugh? Or the driver who carries dog food around to feed the strays? There are so many stories about kind, funny and helpful drivers…)

Let’s hear it for the drivers, our heroes of mobility!
