inDrive, a global player in the mobility and urban services sector, participated in GITEX Africa for the third consecutive year, underscoring its commitment to the region and solidifying its position as a market leader in ride-hailing in Morocco and one of leaders in MENA. The company's presence at the event was an opportunity to highlight the transformative role inDrive plays in reshaping the mobility landscape across the MENA region and African countries.
inDrive took part in GITEX Africa through two insightful panel discussions that showcased the company’s dedication to innovation, equality, as well as its growing global presence.
The first panel, titled "Digitising the Equality Equation," focused on the persistent inequalities across various sectors, including economic empowerment, education, health, and employment”. Representing inDrive in this discussion was Egor Fedorov, Chief Impact Officer. His participation highlighted how inDrive is leveraging technology to promote equality — offering a platform where both drivers and riders have a fair say in pricing, improving access to transportation, and supporting economic empowerment in underserved communities. During the panel discussion, Egor raised important points on the importance of businesses getting involved supporting economic empowerment, and noted that inDrive does this through investing in emerging-market tech, women founders and various educational initiatives globally.
The second panel, titled “Beyond the Ride—The Future of Mobility”, featuring Ilya Gusakov, Senior Director of EMEA & LATAM, focused on the broader digital transformation in mobility. Gusakov's insights emphasized how inDrive’s innovative approach to ride-hailing and urban services is creating a tangible impact in regions like MENA and Latin America, with a strong focus on expanding the company’s presence and enhancing the user experience in emerging market, including its ongoing transition into a fair services superapp.
“As the leading ride-hailing platform in Morocco and across the MENA region, inDrive is growing rapidly — not just in scale, but in local impact. We are deeply committed to becoming a truly local company in every market we serve, developing solutions that reflect the unique needs of our communities. GITEX Africa is the perfect platform for us to connect with top industry minds and explore partnerships that foster mutual growth in the region. Leadership is about more than market share — it’s about leading with purpose, fairness, and a bold ambition to reshape mobility for the better” said Maksim Osipov, Regional Business Development Manager for MENA & CIS.
Both panels provided an opportunity for inDrive to showcase how its values and business model contribute to meaningful change, aligning with the company’s mission to improve mobility and create equal opportunities for drivers and riders across the globe.
inDrive is known for its unique approach to ride-hailing, offering users the ability to negotiate prices directly with drivers, making it a flexible and cost-effective service. This model, along with its focus on fairness and transparency, has garnered significant attention in regions where traditional models of transport have often been less customer-centric.
