According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, in Mexico, 65% of women entrepreneurs live in poverty. And less than a third have access to bank credit to invest in their business, says the IMCO (Mexican Institute of Statistics and Census).

Without resources, how does even the most driven entrepreneur stay afloat and build a business – let alone thrive?

That’s why we’re partnering with Pro Mujer – a social enterprise providing services and tools to women in Latin America, so that they can reach their full potential, improve their living conditions, and grow into leaders.

Our shared project is called Viajes con Causa (Travel with a Cause), and uses our ride-to-donate mechanism to raise money for a fund supporting women entrepreneurs. So, for every ride taken in Mexico within a given time frame, a percentage goes to the fund – meaning that our loyal passengers also play a vital role in helping out.

Viajes con Causa aims to support more than 1,000 women in Mexico by 2025, by equipping them with skills, knowledge and resources.

It does this via Emprende Pro Mujer, a digital educational platform through which women can strengthen their entrepreneurship skills – everything from financial, marketing, and sales skills to leadership, management, and personal development. Since 2021, Emprende Pro Mujer has assisted more than 20,000 women across Latin America.

The initiative also draws on journalists and editors as volunteer mentors. So it’s a partnership that brings together a wide network of people, all contributing to empower women entrepreneurs - and through them, their communities and the economy as a whole.

Creating impact, one ride a time.

Everybody wins!
