Salah is a 28-year old professional fitness trainer. He’s also a part-time driver with inDrive, where he soon learned there’s more to being a driver than getting people from A to B. This is his story.

For years, I followed the paths others set for me. That changed the moment I started using inDrive. It wasn't just about finding a new way to work; it was about finally choosing my own direction.

I have been an inDrive partner for over three years, but I still vividly remember my first trip. I’ll admit, I was hesitant at first, navigating a new system and interacting with so many different people.

My first passengers were international tourists. As we sat and talked about Egypt, my nerves eased as the situation turned into a genuine opportunity for cultural exchange. I realized then that this platform provided more than just a service—it was a bridge to connecting with people from all walks of life.

My father has been my greatest mentor throughout this process. He always told me, "You will get better," and his belief in me has been my motivation. I view this work as a significant responsibility, and I strive to improve every single day.

I once accepted a request from a very remote, isolated area. Even though the fare was modest, I chose to take the trip. The passenger spent the entire journey expressing his gratitude. That experience taught me a vital lesson: sometimes, the greatest impact you can make is simply by being there when it matters most.

To me, inDrive is more than just a source of supplemental income—it is a platform for professional freedom. I have the autonomy to decide when I work, whom I provide service to, and at what price. Every morning, I open the app and take full control of how my day begins and ends.

Outside of work, I find my peace in the sky. I am currently training in paragliding, and when I am in the air, I feel I am exactly where I am meant to be. I no longer wait for others to show me the way; I am the one creating my own path and continuing my journey, on my own terms.
